Lucy was placed at Coast Animal Health as part of her nursing training in 2018, and, after enjoyed working with the team so much, she became a permanent staff member in February, 2020. Lucy has a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and Certificate II in Animal Studies.
Lucy finds that working alongside her amazing colleagues inspires her to work to the very best of her ability. Her favourite part of her job is being able to nurse some beautiful animals back to health and follow their journeys alongside their owners. Seeing an animal recovering from being sick warms her heart.
Lucy lives just outside the central coast but relishes the quiet, beautiful drive into work each day. Lucy has a very special rescue spoodle, called Jasper, who, from a tough beginning now thinks he’s human and loves snuggles and his zebra, Marty, which goes everywhere with him. When not nursing sick animals, Lucy has a passion for dancing and even teaches dance in her spare time. Lucy lives with her family but she’s hoping to build a house and move into it with her boyfriend, Sam.
Lucy lives by the adage that you will never be criticized by someone who is doing more than you. You will only be criticized by someone doing less.
